Welcome to the Cabot Fire Department web page. The information on these pages represents a fire department dedicated to continuous, progressive development and a desire to be respected as the benchmark for the fire service profession and community service. Our mission is to provide an umbrella of security for our citizens by minimizing the loss of life and property resulting from fires, medical and environmental emergencies, or other disasters. We value integrity, respect, service, and courage. I am pleased that you stopped by for a visit.
Cabot Fire Department is responsible for the prevention and suppression of fires within the City of Cabot, Arkansas with a resident population rapidly escalating past 22,000 people. Additionally, we respond to rescue and medical emergencies in our city. Our department operates from three staffed stations and two reserve stations. Each station houses at least one fire engine and a host of other apparatus, vehicles, and equipment. The department currently has 32 full-time, professional firefighter positions and 21 part-time firefighter positions. Our full-time firefighters are trained to a minimum certification of Firefighter II, Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, and Hazardous Materials-Operations. Part-time firefighters are trained to a minimum level of Firefighter I and First Responder.
The department has seen dramatic growth since its beginnings as a volunteer department turning career in 1994. As the needs of our community change, our operations continue to evolve and expand. We eagerly welcome the challenges of that growth and feed on the energy it provides. I am proud to present to you the professional and courageous men and women who make up one of the finest departments in Arkansas.
I hope you enjoy your visit.
