Dispatch
The Cabot Police Department Dispatch Center is located at 101 North Second Street in the lower level of the Cabot City Hall building.
Dispatch Staff / Responsibilities
The dispatch center operates with eleven dispatcher/jailers and one supervisor. The dispatch center is responsible for answering calls for service and dispatching officers to those calls. The dispatch center also oversees the jail and its operation.
Dispatch Center
The dispatch center is built to accommodate two dispatchers with two separate work stations. Each work station consist of:
- The normal 7 digit phone service, E911
- Smart 911 phone service
- CAD system
- ACIC terminals
- The AWIN radio system
Adjacent to the dispatch center is the book-in room where inmates are booked-in on the VINES booking system and fingerprinted on the AFIS fingerprinting system. The dispatch center is also responsible for operating and maintaining the city jail.
E911 System
The Cabot Police Department has been updated with the E911 System.

The Cabot Police Department is equipped with the E911 (enhanced) system that provides its citizens with the ability to just dial 911 in the event of an emergency.

The number 911 is the three digit number that has been designated for public use to report an emergency and/or request emergency assistance throughout the United States.
